Client Services Manager / Technical Business Consultant

The Role

This exciting opportunity will involve working with our Client Service Management Team to help them support and manage software applications across the Food Industry. This will include managing client accounts including dealing with support requests, contributing to internal process discussions and ultimately ensuring client retention remains high.

We are looking for a technically minded, intelligent and enthusiastic individual who will relish the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the growth of this dynamic business. Responsibilities

  • To become the reliable point of contact for the client, to establish a strong business relationship and conduct regular account reviews.
  • Manage all client requests, ensuring expectations are met
  • Manage client upgrades, ensuring new functionality is used effectively via online or on-site sessions
  • Amending existing system settings and technical outputs
  • Preparing and delivering client training sessions
  • Assist with Software testing, providing detailed responses and ideas for improvement where appropriate
  • Consult with key clients to assist with product development
  • Analyse and solve complex business problems in an efficient way for both the business and client

Key Competencies

  • Experience of dealing with clients face to face or over the phone to build and maintain relationships
  • First-rate problem-solving skills with an ability to quickly grasp new concepts and ideas
  • Organised with good time management skills
  • Analytical with good attention to detail
  • Ability to follow and provide constructive feedback on processes and standardisation
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets
  • Professional, articulate and able to communicate well at all levels
  • An understanding of the requirements involved with a technical support role, is desirable but not essential

Remuneration

Up to £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Quality Assurance Analyst

The Role

Point74 Ltd are a rapidly growing supplier of cutting edge software to leading food manufacturing businesses. Over the last decade Point74 have seen significant growth and now have another exciting opportunity available; we are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our highly innovative team. The successful individual will contribute to our Quality and Customer Support process by ensuring our Software product meets the established standards throughout the Agile Development process and will also support our application at 1st contact, to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.

As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will work as part of a team devoted to making sure that the existing software is of the highest quality and supported efficiently. You will be involved with a blend of technical problem solving, including Automated UI testing and administration tasks; working with various stakeholders to record and resolve a range of quality and support tasks. The role will require a balance of technical skills, business knowledge, troubleshooting expertise, and excellent soft skills.

Our comprehensive induction process is delivered by our industry leading experts, which will quickly bring the successful applicant up to speed with both our product and internal processes. We provide mentored internal training to build the skills required for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure exciting quality assurance standards are adhered to throughout agile development process
  • Verify software development to ensure finished product quality
  • Document quality assurance activities using an agile user story / product backlog system
  • Contribute towards the continuous improvement (through retrospective sessions) of quality assurance policies and processes
  • Deliver professional 1st line client and product support remotely via phone, email and online communications on an ad-hoc basis
  • Investigate the root cause and impact of incidents; escalating to 2nd and 3rd line support and management where appropriate
  • Ensure all investigations and work undertaken is logged in a timely and comprehensive manner
  • Contribute towards support documentation (both internal and client facing) e.g. Wiki, user guides, help text, video tutorials, webinars etc
  • Monitor progress of requests for support and ensure users and other interested parties are kept informed
  • Work alongside project teams (business analysts, developers and quality teams) during the agile development process

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certification of Quality Assurance (ISEB/ISTQB) desirable
  • Experience in supporting Web based applications working within a 1st/2nd line support role desirable
  • Ability to deal with both technical and non-technical staff and all levels of management
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal skills
  • An all-round great communicator
  • Good technical skills including Microsoft Office and databases (SQL)
  • A levels or equivalent, degree desirable

Remuneration

£22,000 - £27,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Bookkeeper - Part Time

The Role

This exciting opportunity will involve working with our leadership team to introduce and maintain new accounting and financial systems for this fast-growing business.

Our company is looking for an experienced, part time Finance Manager/ Bookkeeper to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. The ideal candidate will ideally have experience of setting up and systemising financial processes and have experience in transferring clients’ accounts from an excel based system onto an online accounting package.

They will be organised, reliable and committed to consistently meeting deadlines. They will have a passion and aptitude for financial software and systems. They will have experience in dealing with customers either face to face or over the phone to resolve invoice and payment issues.

The role is estimated to be 30-40 hours a month, with flexible hours that could be fitted around the candidate’s requirements, such as term time and school hours. Whilst the successful candidate will be expected to be in the office at least once a week; provided the various deadlines are met, such as VAT returns, payroll requirements, the hours are highly flexible and could be include both working from home and office based.

Responsibilities

  • Balance and maintain accurate ledgers
  • Management of payroll
  • Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments
  • Completing VAT returns
  • Managing the sales invoice process from proforma to receipt
  • Monitor office expenses and cash receipts
  • Checking company bank statements
  • Preparing cash flow statements
  • Dealing with financial paperwork and financial filing

Key Competencies

  • The ability to take ownership of the accounting process and develop robust financial processes
  • Experience of dealing with clients accounting departments over the phone to build and maintain relationships
  • Organised with good time management skills
  • Analytical with good attention to detail
  • Ability to follow and provide constructive feedback on processes and standardisation
  • Working knowledge of accounting systems like Sage, Xero and Quickbooks
  • An advanced knowledge of Excel

Experience

  • Bookkeeping: 2 years (preferred)
  • Accounting: 1 year (preferred)

£12,500 - £15,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
